Etsy regulatory operating fee — June 22, 2026 changes

On June 22, 2026, Etsy updates regulatory operating fees in seven countries and adds a new fee in Hungary. The surcharge is a small % of order total (item + shipping charged) — but on thin-margin listings it can erase profit you thought was safe.

New rates (effective June 22, 2026)

• United Kingdom: 0.32% → 0.48%
• France: 0.47% → 1.14%
• Italy: 0.32% → 0.80%
• Spain: 0.72% → 0.88%
• Hungary (new): 1.97%
• Türkiye: 2.27% → 1.67% (decrease)
• India: 0.29% → 0.05% (decrease)

US, Australia, and Germany sellers are unaffected. Canada keeps 1.15%. Verify your shop country at etsy.com/legal/fees.

Regulatory fee rises from ~£0.09 to ~£0.13 per order — small alone, but stacks with 6.5% transaction + 4% processing. On a £15 listing the same bump is a larger % of net profit.

France at 1.14% on a €40 order adds ~€0.46 regulatory on top of standard Etsy fees — enough to push sub-20% margin SKUs into red if you skip repricing.
